What is a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC)?

The DRC is a readily accessible facility or mobile office where applicants may go for information about FEMA or other disaster assistance programs, or for questions related to a specific case.

NOTE: Register for assistance at a DRC, visit DisasterAssistance.gov, or call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) (hearing/speech impaired ONLY-Call TTY: 1-800-462-7585).

What services does it provide?

  • Guidance regarding disaster recovery
  • Clarification of any written correspondence received
  • Housing Assistance and Rental Resource information
  • Answers to questions, resolution to problems and referrals to agencies that may provide further assistance
  • Status of applications being processed by FEMA.
  • Small Business Administration (SBA) program information if there is a SBA Representative at the Disaster Recovery Center site.

Public Transportation

Deena Cybulski, director of the county's Department of Planning and Development, said alternate means of transportation will also be available. For example, an individual can take the NJ Transit Bus 29, 871, or 874 to Route 46 at Baldwin Road and walk approximately 0.2 miles south on Baldwin Road to the PAL Building.
